Deskvuu is a remote-access service operated by Sysix (“Deskvuu,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use deskvuu.com, the Deskvuu Windows application distributed through Microsoft Store, our other desktop and web applications, and related services, and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
Google sign-in data. If you sign in with Google, Google provides the basic account information needed to identify and authenticate you: your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile image if available. Deskvuu does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google content.
Account and service data. We process account details, subscription status, device names and identifiers, operating system, online status, last-seen time, IP address, saved contacts and peer details, and connection history such as device, session type, status, duration, and whether unattended access was used. We also process information you send to support.
Technical and payment data. We and our providers may process browser or app type, IP address, diagnostics, security logs, cookies, local storage, and authentication tokens. Payment providers process your payment details; Deskvuu receives transaction, plan, and subscription status rather than full card numbers.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; authenticate users; connect and synchronize devices; provide saved contacts, session history, subscriptions, and support; maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; and communicate important service or policy updates. We do not use Google user data for advertising.
Google API data
We use Google account information only to provide and secure sign-in and the Deskvuu account features you request. Deskvuu’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for personalized advertising, or allow humans to read it except with your permission, when necessary for security or support, or when required by law.
When we share information
We share information only with service providers that help operate Deskvuu, such as authentication, hosting, infrastructure, analytics, customer-support, and payment providers; when you direct us to share it; to protect users, our rights, or the service; when legally required; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. Providers may use information only to perform services for us under appropriate obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information or share it with data brokers.
Remote connections and security
Deskvuu uses encrypted WebRTC connections for screen media and control data. When a direct peer-to-peer route is available, screen content does not pass through a Deskvuu server. Network relays may transport encrypted connection data when a direct route is unavailable. We do not use remote-session content for advertising. No system is completely secure, but we use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.
Desktop access and remote-session information
Remote access involves processing screen images and keyboard and pointer input to display and control a connected device. Screen content can contain personal or confidential information. Clipboard content is processed when you use clipboard transfer; files and their contents are processed when you use supported file-transfer features. These features make the transferred information available to the connected participant.
Saved peer entries may include screen-preview thumbnails and remembered access credentials. Thumbnails can contain information visible on the remote screen. Local preferences, authentication information, and remembered connection settings may remain on your device or in your browser profile until cleared. Saved account contacts and connection history may also be stored with your account.
Use Deskvuu only on devices you own or are authorized to access. Incoming access depends on your approval or your configured unattended-access credentials. Enabling unattended access may allow connections when you are not present, including at the device’s sign-in screen. Protect access credentials, review your saved peers, and disable unattended access when it is no longer needed. You can end a session and manage available access settings in the application.
Cookies, local storage, and service providers
The website and web client use cookies or browser storage for authentication, preferences, remembered connections, and service operation. Technical usage information may also be processed for analytics and troubleshooting. You can clear website data through your browser, although this may sign you out or remove locally saved settings.
Our service uses Base44 for website, account, and data infrastructure, Google when you choose Google sign-in, and Stripe for payments and subscription management. Microsoft separately processes information relating to Microsoft Store downloads, purchases, and Store services under its own privacy statement. Each provider’s own privacy terms apply to its independent processing.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting duties, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods depend on the type and purpose of the data. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. To request account and associated-data deletion, contact us. We will verify the request and may retain limited information where the law permits or requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can review certain account and saved-service data in Deskvuu, sign out, or ask us to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information, subject to applicable law. You can revoke Deskvuu’s Google access from your Google Account permissions. Revoking access stops future Google sign-in access but does not by itself delete your Deskvuu account; contact us to request deletion.
International processing
Deskvuu and its providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers and provide the protections required by applicable law.
Children
Deskvuu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date. For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact Sysix, the operator of Deskvuu.
